Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled or modified later, the total price of the reservation will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra bed

All children are welcome. All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged EUR 10 per night per person for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 20 per night per person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Important information

Final cleaning is included in the rate when staying at the Apartments and Villa Castrum. Daily cleaning, heating and breakfast are not included in the rate but are available on request with extra charge on the spot. Upon arrival, you must pay a refundable damage deposit of EUR 250 per week for apartments, and EUR 750 per week for Villa Castrum.

Canonica di Cortine is situated in the beautiful, peaceful heart of the Italian countryside of the Chianti region. The location is perfect for a relaxing break; it is also just 2 minutes drive from the Raccordo Firenze – Siena (toll-free motorway). There are also many historical and cultural attractions in the area, as the region has a rich Medieval and Roman history. Almost exactly midway between the 2 cities, Canonica di Cortine is 22 km from Firenze and 23 km from Siena. Arezzo is 110 km away and there are many other beautiful places to visit in the region, including San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Montalcino, Greve in Chianti, Certaldo and many others. You can also easily reach the Tyrrhenian Sea. It takes just over an hour by car to reach the coast or, alternatively, there is regular bus service. Tuscany’s main spa resorts are also not far away and Saturnia, Rapolano, Vetulonia, Monsummano Terme and Bagno Vignoni can all be reached by car.

Travel information

By Car (from the A1 motorway): - From the A1 motorway, take the Firenze – Certosa exit, and pay the toll. - After paying the toll, you immediately come to a large roundabout. Turn right at the roundabout on to the Raccordo Firenze – Siena (toll-free motorway). - After approximately 21 km, take the exit for San Donato in Poggio. - At the T-junction, turn left, heading in the direction of San Donato in Poggio – Castellina in Chianti. - Follow this road for approximately 3-4 km until you reach a turning on the right signposted Cortine. - Turn right here and follow this road for about 1 km. - Canonica di Cortine is the first group of houses on the right. Parking: Parking is available free of charge. By Bus: The nearest bus stop is in the centre of San Donato in Poggio, approximately 2 km away. By Train: The nearest train station is in Poggibonsi, 8 km away.
