Antico Borgo Poggiarello Antico Borgo Poggiarello offers beautiful apartments nestled among the woods and vineyards of the Chianti Hills, not far from Siena. Enjoy comfortable accommodation in the heart of Tuscany's green countryside. Antico Borgo Poggiarello is set in a former 17th century village. The establishment also comprises an ancient tower of the 9th century. Sit at its base and enjoy a breathtaking landscape. Each of the Poggiarello's 14 apartments is charmingly furnished in original Tuscan style, and provided with modern commodities, including satellite TV and Internet connection. The Antico Borgo also offers a swimming pool, surrounded by green olive trees and close to the wood. The establishment's most relaxing facility is probably the ancient-Roman thermal bath, a cave containing water at a temperature of 35-38°C. The Palio Di Siena restaurant offers the best foods of the traditional Tuscan cuisine and, of course, the best wines of the Chianti Siena area.

If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, 30 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 11 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, 70 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

All children are welcome. All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing beds. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 30 per night per person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.

Travel information

From Florence: - Take the A1. - Exit at Firenze Certosa. - Join the Firenze-Siena freeway, following directions for Siena. - Exit at Monteriggioni. - At the stop sign, turn right. - After 300 metres, and take the first right-hand turn toward Bar dell'Orso. - After 1.4 km turn left and follow the signs for Abbadia a Isola - Strove. - Continue for 6 km, until the crossing where you follow in the direction of Scorgiano. - Here, you take a left turn and follow that road for 4 km. - At the Factoria of Scorgiano, turn left and you will find the sign for Poggiarello. - Go ahead for 300 metres before taking a left turn. - Go ahead for 2 km and you will find the hotel. From Rome: - Take the A1. - Exit at Valdichiana. - Follow directions for Siena on the Firenze-Siena freeway. - Exit at Monteriggioni. - Then, as above.
