Located in the historical region of Chianti Classico, this hotel rises amongst the hills between San Casciano Val di Pesa and Greve in Chianti.
The manor has been completely restored and divided into 11 independent apartments of different sizes. The furnishings of each apartment are characteristic of the typical rural Tuscan style, whilst at the same time affording every modern comfort.
The relaxing, informal garden is located where the vines of the vineyards grow closer together. When you are not strolling through the grounds, enjoy a swim in the attractive pool or indulge in a spot of shopping in the nearby town centre.

Cancellation Policy
If cancelled or modified up to 14 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled or modified up to 7 days before date of arrival, 30 percent of all nights will be charged.

If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Fattoria Montignana has a nice swimming-pool which looks over the valley.
The swimming-pool is open from May 15th to Sept 30th.
Room information
The apartments offer central heating in the winter and all modern comforts throughout the year, whilst maintaining the spirit of typical Tuscan country houses with the furnishings and style. The apartments look out over the swimming pool and the vineyards of the valley below.
There are 2 kinds of apartments available:
- apartment with one double bedroom; bathroom with shower; living room with kitchen area and sofa-bed.
- apartment with 2 double bedrooms; bathroom with shower; living room with kitchen area and sofa-bed.
All guests receive complimentary:
- bottles of the hotel's own production wine in each apartment (more than 3 nights stay)
- welcome buffet (high season)
- guided visit to the hotel's winery (high season)
The minimum stay is 2 nights and the Fattoria is closed during wintertime.
Food & beverage
Half-board is not available, but there are an assortment of pizzerias near Fattoria Montignana, as well as restaurants serving traditional Tuscan cuisine.
Area information
Fattoria Montignana’s convenient location permits enriching excursions to the Tuscan cultural and artistic centres of Florence (20 km) and Siena (40 km), as well as to other jewels of the region, such as Monteriggioni, San Gimignano and Impruneta. And at a distance of only 1 km, guests may stroll or drive to the lovely little town of Mercatale Val di Pesa for their daily shopping needs.
The market that takes place every Monday morning in San Casciano Val di Pesa is worth visiting, as well as the church of Badia a Passignano, with its cloister and its crypt that dates to the year 1000.
Travel information
By Car:
- Take the Milano-Roma A1 motorway.
- Exit at Firenze Certosa.
- Continue along the Firenze-Siena motorway.
- Exit at San Casciano.
- Drive on to San Casciano and just before leaving it, turn left following directions for Mercatale.
- Go through Mercatale to the main square (Piazza Vittorio Veneto).
- Continue straight on for another kilometre and turn left at the sign for Fattoria Montignana.

The hotel recommends to check in within normal hours. Late arrival fees apply after 22:00.
